The Chicago Parks Foundation was created in 2012 to raise funds in support of the programs and facilities of the Chicago Park District. As a 501(c)3 corporation, donations made to the Chicago Parks Foundation (CPF) are tax-deductible. All donations are invested in the Chicago Park District for the enhancement of its programs and facilities. The Chicago Parks Foundation replaces the Parkways Foundation which closed in 2012.
Support of the Chicago Parks Foundation directly enhances the programs and facilities of the Park District. Donations may be designated to the Chicago Park District’s general fund for the District’s areas of greatest need or for a specific purpose, program or project at the Park District.
