Get Involved

In a park system as large as Chicago's, there are a number of ways patrons can get involved to make a difference in their park and community. From working or volunteering at a park and joining your local park advisory council to providing input at a monthly Board meeting or through the Contact Us form, the assistance of our patrons is invaluable.

  • Work
    Nearly 3,000 people – from landscape architects to gymnastics instructors – work to fulfill the goals of the Chicago Park District.  Learn about the employment opportunities currently available in the parks.
 
  • Volunteer
    Become a VIP and volunteer in the parks.  From one day group service projects to an ongoing individual volunteer opportunity, there is a wide variety of volunteer options in the parks.
 
  • Donate
    Help support Chicago’s parks and facilities, and the programs and events offered throughout the year.  Make a donation to the Chicago Park District today.
     
  • Attend/Speak at a Board Meeting
    The public is invited to attend and speak at monthly meetings of the Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners.
 
  • Join a Park Advisory Council
    Advisory Councils work to support the effective functioning of their local park.  Make an impact in your park and your community, join your local park advisory council.
