Beat the Heat at Local Chicago Park District Pools & Water Playgrounds

Cool off this summer at the Chicago Park District’s numerous pools and water parks that are now open through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5.

The Chicago Park District operates 26 indoor pools and 51 outdoor pools. Click on the link for locations and schedules as hours vary, but they are generally open from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Admission is free to Chicago Park District pools for open and family swims, but fees vary for lap swim and instructional classes. Many of the Chicago Park District pools have accessibility features such as ADA stairs, pool lifts and zero depth entry. At a few locations with pool lifts, direct wheelchair access to the pool area may still be limited.

The Chicago Park District also operates 22 water playgrounds and 136 water spray features. Click on the links for locations.
