3/1/2011
The Chicago Park District administrative offices and facilities will be closed on Pulaski Day, Monday, March 7 for a mandatory shut down day, necessary to balance the current budget.
In addition, the Chicago Park District administrative offices and facilities will be closed for three days adjacent to the holidays. The mandatory shut down days are effective:
- Friday, Nov. 25, 2011
- Friday, Dec. 23, 2011
- Friday, Dec. 30, 2011
“The Chicago Park District, like countless other local organizations, is faced with rising costs of basic needs and a decrease in funding to meet those needs,” said General Superintendent and CEO Timothy Mitchell. “The past year has presented a number of challenges resulting from these difficult financial times, and the mandatory shut down day is one of the many measures we took to balance the 2011 budget.”
Patrons should contact their local park for more information, or visit www.chicagoparkdistrict.com.
