Chicago Park District Facilities Closed for Mandatory Shut Down Days Around the Holidays
12/21/2012
The Chicago Park District administrative offices and facilities, except for McFetridge Sports Center and seven outdoor ice rinks, will be closed for two days adjacent to the holidays.
The mandatory shut down days are effective:
-
Monday, Dec. 24, the day before Christmas
-
Monday, Dec. 31, the day before New Year’s Day
“The Chicago Park District, like countless other local organizations, is faced with challenges resulting from difficult financial times,” said General Superintendent and CEO Michael Kelly. “These mandatory shut down days are one of the many measures we took to help balance the 2012 budget.”
