Chicago Park District Will Host a Public Forum for 2018 Fiscal Budget
2018 Fiscal Budget will include input from the upcoming Public Forum and through the online form
The Chicago Park District today announced plans to solicit input from park patrons as the 2018 Fiscal Budget is developed. Park patrons can participate at the upcoming public budget forum on Tuesday, September 19 at Fosco Park (1312 S. Racine) or through an online form. Input garnered from the forum and online submissions will be considered during the budget planning process.
“The Chicago Park District values the opinions and suggestions of our patrons,” said General Superintendent and CEO Michael Kelly. “Community input helps shape programming and operations at local parks, and we invite all to participate.”
The September 19 public forum will begin promptly at 6pm, with registration starting on-site at 5:30 pm. Park patrons can provide input on the 2018 Fiscal Budget through an online formoffered by The Chicago Park District’s Office of Budget and Management through December 6, 2017. Park patrons from across the city are invited to register and offer public input. Registration begins at 5:30 pm and the forum begins promptly at 6 pm.
The Office of Budget and Management will present the 2018 Fiscal Budget to the Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners on December 13, 2017. The final budget will be accessible at www.chicagoparkdistrict.comthe next day.
