Celebrate biodiversity all day long at Calumet Park! Learn how to increase biodiversity at home, how to make flowerpots, start your own seeds, and take home a FREE native plant to call your own!

Special guests include DIY Garden Expert Mr. Brown Thumb, local birder Charles Anderson, volunteers from the Field Museum, the Illinois Mycological Association, and representation by local conservation groups. Park District partners Pizzo and Associates have provided FREE native plants that participants can "Adopt" just in time for Mother's Day!

The day will culminate in a family picnic for all participants at 5pm (bring your own food), with trivia and prize giveaways, live performances by Chicago musicians, and will be followed by a relaxing, fun night of astronomy for all.
