With its origins in Japan, Ikebana is a 1000+ year old art form is based on the simple philosophy, "The life of a flower is very short." The Ikenobo School of Flower Arranging is the origin of all ikebana and the school?s local chapters and members study and pursue "kado," the path of flowers. Ikebana demonstrations will be held at various times throughout the exhibit accompanied by an explanation of the principles of Japanese flower arranging and a question and answer session.
