Fee: Plant prices vary and tulip bulbs are free!

Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance is hosting a Mother’s Day plant sale at Garfield Marketplace and Tulipmania II on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plant prices vary and tulip bulbs are free.

Come by Garfield Park Conservatory’s Marketplace to get free tulip bulbs as well as stock up on a variety of tropical houseplants, succulents and a limited supply of garden seedlings.  There will also be Hail Storm Glass pieces by artist Beth Berger Martin to raise funds to rebuild after last summer’s hail storm.  All plant sale proceeds benefit Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance’s programming and aid in the reconstruction efforts.

In addition, Tulipmania II will be taking place during the plant sale.  The City of Chicago pulled their beautiful tulips from downtown median locations and gave them to the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance to distribute to the public for free!  Tulips are given away in mixed bags and yours may include varieties like ‘Maggie Daley’, ‘Rococco Parrot’, ‘Princess Irene’ and more!  Bagged bulbs are distributed on a first come, first served basis so make sure to come early.  In conjunction with the tulip giveaway,
