Holiday Hours for Citywide Ice Rinks

daleybicentennialplaza Stay active this winter by visiting one of the Chicago Park District’s 10 ice skating rinks. Hours are adjusted during the holidays, Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1. See schedule below.

Skating season runs through Sunday, Feb. 26 at most outdoor rinks, weather permitting. Click here to watch a video on ice skating at Chicago Park District rinks.

Hours and skate rental prices vary. Please note there is an admission fee at The Rink at Wrigley and at McFetridge Sports Center in California Park, an indoor rink that is open year round except August. All other rinks offer free admission. Concessions are available at select rinks. Rink rental is also available for special events and parties; contact the rink manager.

Please note that schedules and fees are subject to change. Contact the individual ice rinks or the Chicago Park District at 312-742-PLAY (7529).

The Chicago Park District operates the following 10 ice rinks:

Monday-Friday, 1-9 p.m.

Teen skate every Friday, 5-7 p.m.
$7 skate rental; admission free. Group reservations are available during open skate hours. Call the park for further details. Learn to skate classes are offered for youth ages 3-12. Online registration begins Monday, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m. and in-person Saturday, Dec. 3.

$3 skate rental; admission is $4 for children 12 and younger, $5 for ages 13 and older, and $2 for seniors 60 and older. Food concessions are available. Learn to skate classes are offered for youth and adults. In-person registration begins Wednesday, Nov. 9 for classes that begin Nov. 12 and Wednesday, Jan. 18 for classes that begin Monday, Jan. 23.
