West Side Story (NR)

With biting lyrics by Stephen Sondheim set to a magical Leonard Bernstein score, WEST SIDE STORY adapts the basic conflicts of Romeo and Juliet to the rivalry of New York City street gangs. The vitality of Jerome Robbins’ choreography is unmatched in its cinematic brilliance and blends with the other elements of the film to create an utterly distinctive movie experience.
