Recycling Sailboat Regatta
Send a big imagination sailing. Participants will use recyclable materials (cardboard, string, and aluminum) to create their one-of-a-kind toy boat and join the fun at 2nd Annual Recycling Sailboat Regatta, at Gompers Park lagoon. At this nautical event we are looking for patrons to bring their handmade sailboat and navigate the lagoon water.

Schedule Notes: Awards will be given to top designs; most creative visible use of recycled materials and sea worthiness – plus the day camper category; most creative use of lunch packaging. boat building guidelines maximum size: 2’h x 2’l x 1’w 25 ft. of rope/string attached to your boat recyclable materials such as - aluminum, milk cartons, and paper etc. age groups: 5 & under, 6-12,13-19, and 20 & over special group: Chicago Park District Camper (must wear camp t-shirt)
