WVON Pre-Kwanzaa Festival
WVON 1450 AM once again presents this year’s annual Pre-Kwanzaa celebration at the South Shore Cultural Center. The festival is free of charge. This 2 day community festival featuring a marketplace, workshops, awards and speakers. Attendees also can visit a food court, stop by the gift making pavilion or check out a performance stage featuring community musical acts and theater groups. Vendors from across the country will sell products from books and artwork to beauty supplies and clothing.

Light the Menorah, the Kinara and the spruce tree, the holidays are here again! Along with crisp temperatures and fresh falling snow, hundreds of happy events are swirling into Chicago’s parks. Holiday festivities hosted by the Chicago Park District spread cheer throughout the city with celebrations honoring Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and Three Kings Day. From holiday concerts and theatrical performances, to holiday crafts, ice skating and dinners with Santa, families will delight in sharing in the season’s joy at their neighborhood park.
