As the Chicago Park District illuminates the night skies with festive light displays around Buckingham Fountain and in neighborhood parks this winter, parks throughout the city are busy offering a variety of low-cost family-friendly events for the December holidays.For a complete listing of holiday fun in the parks visit us @chicagoparkdistrict.com.
Here’s a sample of what’s happening in the parks this winter:
come out and skate at warren
· Warren Park, 6601 N. Western Ave.,
· Weather Permitting – Rink to open November 24 – March 2007
· The rink is open Wednesdays - Thursdays, 3-5 pm; 5:30-7:30 pm; Fridays, 3-5 pm; 5:30-7:30 pm; Saturdays & Sundays, 12:30-2:30 pm; 3-5 pm; 5:30-7:30 pm. General admission is $4 for residents; $5 for non-residents. Residents, under age17 and 60+ pay $3; non-residents pay $4. Skate rental is available at all locations for $5.
We provide exclusive use of the rink and warming facility with all rink rentals for your next gathering or special event. Club rooms are also available inside the Warren Park fieldhouse. Skate rentals are an additional charge.
