WHAT:

Among the tropical flowers at the Lincoln Park Conservatory’s Show Room, enjoy a never before seen sculpture creation by Lucy Slivinski.She utilizes a wide array of industrial materials, creating the sculpture masterpiece on site at the Lincoln Park Conservatory’s Show Room.She utilizes primarily materials that have become salvaged metal, plastic and glass to create an intuitive connection between nature and the exiled objects of human civilization.

Lucy Slivinski has been exhibiting in Chicago for many years at the Chicago Cultural Center, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium as well as, the North Shore Skokie Sculpture Park, in Skokie.In the fall of 2004, she completed a one-person exhibition, and in 2006, was included in the group exhibition “The Girls Have it!” at Phyllis Kind Gallery in New York City. In November of 2005, Lucy participated in the Novart Festival, with "Chicago Art is NOW" in Bordeaux, France where she created a sculpture at the Musee d'art comtemporaire during a live performance of Chicago's Ethnic Heritage Ensemble. Finally, Lucy recently completed site-specific installations in Chicago, at Grant Park, Art Park, in Buffalo, NY, at LongwoodUniversity in Farmville, VA. and in Columbus, Indiana.
