Festive Holiday Lights Currently on Display Through Feb. 20

Release Date: 12/07/06

The Chicago Park District makes the season bright with festive lights on display daily throughout the neighborhood parks now through Feb. 20.

“From downtown to the neighborhoods, the Chicago Park District spreads holiday cheer with thousands of twinkling light displays,” said Timothy J. Mitchell, general superintendent & CEO of the Chicago Park District. “The park district makes Chicago a wonderful place during the holidays by creating bright, festive displays citywide.”

The District has been decorating parks with holiday lights the day after Thanksgiving since1994. This year’s theme is classic, clear white lights that will drape fountains and field houses.
