BOUNDARIES THEATER COMPANY TO PRESENT "PROMETHEUS BOUND"

A Tragedy: Tyranny, defiance, friendship, excess and moderation

The ancient Greek tragedy, "Prometheus Bound," by Aeschylus will be presented at the Indian Boundary Park and Cultural Center, 2500 W. Lunt Ave., Chicago for two weekends in May. It will run Fri., Sat., Sun., May 16, 17 and 18 and May 23, 24, 25. Friday and Saturday performances start at 7:00 pm; Sundays at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each.

The updated interpretation of Prometheus Bound is directed by Indian Boundary drama instructor Vito Gioia.
The tragedy is based on the myth of Prometheus, a Titan who was punished by the god Zeus for giving the gift of fire to mankind as well s for thwarting Zeus' plan to obliterate the human race.

The play features Caitlin McCowan, Tom Brien, Ray Brazaski, Matthew Gilbert, Bethany Troop, Andrew Nelson, Letitia Gillaud and Emily Boyd.

The production will feature lighting design by Mary Stouffer and characters outfitted in elaborate costume by Phil Martini.

The Boundaries Theatre Company has been an active community-based theatre for both adults and youth.
