The Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool opens for the 2009 season with free 30-minute tours of both the lily pool and conservatory.
WHO:
Docents, volunteers trained to educate the public, lead visitors on tours revealing the history of the lily pool and conservatory.

Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, corner of Fullerton & Cannon Drive, & Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Dr.
WHEN:
Sunday, April 26 - December 1 (or first snow/ice); Daily, 7:30 a.m. to dusk
Lily Pool Free Tours from April 26 - October 1:
·Fridays from 1 - 4 p.m.,
·Saturdays from 9 a.m. - noon and 1 - 4 p.m.,
·Sundays 1 - 4 p.m.
Lincoln Park Conservatory tours available year round.

The tours start every hour and every half hour. For those interested in the Lily Pool tour, please meet at the Fullerton Avenuegate to start the tour. For those interested in touring the conservatory, please meet in the lobby before the tour. No registration required. Please call the Lincoln Park Conservancy at 773.883.7275 to schedule a group tour.
The award-winning restored Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool is one of Chicago’s premier prairie-style landscapes designed by Caldwellin the late 1930s and is a National Historic Landmark. The Lincoln Park Conservatory is a treasured Victorian glass house dating from the 1890s.
