Six Parks Offer Five Different Classes for Five Weeks

From yoga and Pilates to cardio kickboxing and Latin aerobics, the Chicago Park District’s Taste of Fitness program offers the opportunity to sample different workouts admission free from July 1 – Aug. 8. Patrons register in-person at the park location of their choice.

“Fitness is a core value at the Chicago Park District, and we hope this sampler will inspire patrons to try something new or mix up their routine,” said Chicago Park District General Superintendent and CEO Timothy J. Mitchell.

Sixcitywide parks will offer a different class each week including boot camp, yoga, cardio kickboxing, Pilates, core & stretch, Latin aerobics, Power Pump, interval training, and step interval.

The Chicago Park District’s facilities offer a variety of fitness classes year round such as circuit training, conditioning, kickboxing, Pilates, yoga and aerobics.

Additionally, the Park District operates 55 fitness centers featuring state-of-the-art equipment including: computerized treadmills, cross trainers, upright and recumbent bicycles, free weights and benches, cable cross-overs, multi-station weight machines and core-focused weight equipment.
