DUTIES: Plans and implements a course curriculum for the instruction of a specialized athletic, recreation or leisure activity.Demonstrates proper techniques and skills in specialty area. Promotes sportsmanship and encourages creativity in participants. Issues and maintains an inventory of specialized equipment and supplies. Determines tournament eligibility requirements. Establishes schedules for tournaments, leagues and competition.Enforces and promotes safety guidelines for specialized activities.Adapts programs to reflect differing levels of participant skill development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate of Arts degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Physical Education or related field.Five to ten years of instructional, practical or sanctioned competitive experience in a specialty area.

2008 Salary: $19.72 per hour
