DUTIES: Assists one or more participants depending on the severity of their disability and/or need, in sports, games and various recreation and athletic activities. Evaluates the child’s’ skill level and assesses his/her capacity to participate in park activities. Enforces and promotes safety guidelines for the child in his/her recreation and athletic activities.Assists child with lunch and necessary restroom functions as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Enrollment in a college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Special Education or related field is preferred; or, three years of experience working hands on/directly with children and/or adults with disabilities is required
