DUTIES: Develops course curriculum. Instructs patrons in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics using varied gymnastic equipment. Program responsibilities include but are not limited to events prscribed by USA Gymnastics. Instructs men and women in individual gymnastic skills including pommel horse, rings, long and side horse vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar, balance beam, tumbing and floor exercise. Develops and instructs pre-school gymnastics program. Responsible for instructing and coaching all competitive gymnastic events including apparatus and floor exercises, compulsory and optional routines at all levels of USA Gymnastics. Organizes and supervises gymnastic teams at various proficiency levels. Hosts, schedules, and organizes competitive tournaments and non-competitive activities.Promotes events, programs and classes. Helps schedule judges and other officials. Judges all levels of competition. Helps ensure availability and safety of equipment and facilities. Performs clerical tasks including course registration, fee collection, equipment inventory and repord keeping.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years experience as a gymnast including at least 2 year of USA Gymnastics or N.C.A.A. recognized competition, or an equivalent combination of educaiton and experience is required. At least 1 yearof gymnastic coaching experience is desirable. Professional membership in USA Gymnastics required must obtain membership within 60 days of qppointment. Certification Required: Valid USA Gymnastics Safety Certification wintin 60 days of appointment. Valid USA Gymnastics Level I Coaches Certificaiton within 6 months of appointment.

2009 Salary: $43,691 per year
