DUTIES: Examine receipts and other records to verify and confirm the proper collection and posting of Park District revenue. Independently perform audits of record keeping, revenue collection and financial reporting systems at various locations across the District.Independently create audit reports and summaries of Park District financial and non-financial operations in accordance with current auditing standards. Perform routine and ad hoc analyses of revenues, expenses, private and public donations and management contracts. Analyze, assess and recommend improvements to the Director on accounting or other systems and processes.Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies in regards to accounting practices and internal control policies. Work to determine individual, department and/or region conformance with managerial guidelines and assist with bringing deficient practices up to established standards. Attend and contribute to training sessions across the District to further establish cash management policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field plus at least two to three years of accounting or auditing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

2008 Salary:$56,451 - $81,148/per year
