Lincoln Park Conservatory Docent Spring Training

The Lincoln Park Conservancy and the Chicago Park District are seeking volunteers to become new docents at the Lincoln Park Conservatory and Gardens in Lincoln Park.  This Victorian Era glass house consists of soaring palms, ancient ferns, and a vast orchid collection that delight visitors year round with their exotic beauty and smells.  As a docent, you will give free tours to the public on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year to help foster a greater appreciation and understanding of this beautiful treasure.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about plants and nature, and to meet visitors from around the world.

Beginning on March 28, 2015 new docents will attend training on six Saturday mornings with area experts on horticulture, the art of interpretation, the history of the conservatory and Lincoln Park, and the landscape design of the conservatory's outdoor gardens.  Be an ambassador at one of Chicago’s most beloved destinations – become a Lincoln Park Conservatory docent!
Registration deadline:  March 21, 2015
