Live Nation Announces Free Tickets for Lawn Patrons Affected by Rains at June 29 Concert

The newly upgraded and expanded FirstMerit Bank Pavilion opened this past weekend on June 28 and 29, first with O.A.R. and then the legendary Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.

During construction of the new lawn and in the days leading up to the show, however, Chicago
experienced record-breaking rains in the wettest first half of the year on record, 11.93 inches
above average year to date. As a result of these conditions, the lawn retained a significant
amount of water and some lawn seating patrons encountered mud or were subjected to
compromised sight lines as other patrons moved away from muddy areas. Crews were out in
force at the site on Sunday morning, cleaning up the area, reinstalling the lawn, and ensuring
that all will be ready in time for the next show.

“Chicago has experienced almost thirty inches of rain so far this year, which is already more
than fell in all of 2012,” said Mark Campana, Co-President North American Concerts, Live
Nation. “We apologize for the wet ground experienced by lawn patrons on Saturday, June 29
and so we are inviting those people to be our guests at another Live Nation outdoor show this

Lawn ticket purchasers for the Saturday, June 29 show will be contacted directly via email,
where they will receive information on how to redeem a complimentary lawn ticket for each
lawn ticket purchased for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, to any available show at
FirstMerit Bank Pavilion, First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, or Alpine Valley. The offer is
based on availability and will be subject to expiration, so participants are encouraged to
respond quickly for best selection, once they receive the email from Live Nation.
