Each spring, park patrons may see dandelions growing in their neighborhood parks throughout Chicago, signifying a healthy, chemical-free park. The Chicago Park District for a fourth year is partnering with Safer Pest Control Project to offer park visitors a safer and healthier park by limiting the use of pesticides throughout the district.
Kilbourn Park Organic Greenhouse will sell more than 150 varieties of organically grown vegetable, herb and flower seedlings. The annual plant sale will take place Saturday & Sunday, May 18 & 19, 10 am - 2 pm.
Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool opens for the 2013 season on Saturday, April 20.
