How has the Chicago coastline changed over the decades?

Reported by WBEZ Curios City's Robin Amer. From nature to industry and back again (sorta), the lakefront’s changed so much that city founders wouldn’t recognize it.

Park District budget keeps lid on taxes

By John Byrne, Chicago Tribune reporter The Chicago Park District unveiled a $410 million budget proposal Monday that holds the line on new property taxes and fees for park programs while increasing the number of spots in some sports leagues and reducing the cost for out-of-towners to dock boats along the lakefront.
