Opening of Citywide Ice Rinks Delayed Due to Weather

WHAT:  
Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures, the opening of some Chicago Park District outdoor ice rinks will be delayed.

WHERE:  
The following outdoor ice rinks are anticipated to open Friday, Nov. 23 as originally scheduled, weather permitting:

McKinley Park, 2210 W. Pershing Rd., 312-747-5992
Midway Plaisance Park, 1130 Midway Plaisance North, 312-745-2470
Warren Park, 6601 N. Western Ave., 773-761-8663

The following rinks are expected to open Saturday, Nov. 24, weather permitting:

Mt. Greenwood Park, 3721 W. 111 St., 312-747-3690
Riis Park, 6100 W. Fullerton Ave., 312-746-5735
Rowan Park, 11546 S. Avenue L, 773-646-1967

The Rink at Wrigley, Addison St. and Clark St., 773-525-1638, is expected to open Wednesday, Nov. 28.

MORE: 
Hours and skate rental prices vary.  Please note there is an admission fee at The Rink at Wrigley and at McFetridge Sports Center in California Park, an indoor rink.  All other rinks offer free admission.
