Join the Chicago Park District at our 73 pool locations and thousands of kids and families at aquatics facilities around the globe as we set a new Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous swimming lesson ever conducted and to spread the word Swimming Lessons Saves Lives! The Chicago Park District has joined Team WLSL which holds the current Guinness World Record which stands at 32,450 participants. Don't miss the chance to participate in this record-breaking event and help prevent drowning, the leading cause of injury-related death of children ages 1-5, and second leading cause of accidental death for children under 14. The event is open to all ages. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Registration is required prior to participation. Participants can register online through June 18th. Onsite registration will be available at 9am, only if available spots remain. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the event to complete the necessary participant release waiver. The lesson will promptly begin at 10am and will be 60 minutes in length.
