Night Out: Romeo Juliet at Garfield Conservatory

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Garfield Park Conservatory
300 N Central Park Ave Chicago, IL 60624
(773) 638-1766

Fee: Free

Age Range: 14 and up

The Hypocrites' Romeo Juliet by Sean Graney adapted from Felice Romani and William Shakespeare.  The footprint of Romeo Juliet is small enough to fit into a few empty parking spaces, or a small corner of a park.  We invite Chicagoans to join us around town to experience this production- and all of its banter, swordfights, oranges, heart-rendering sincerity, and wit-in spaces that come right up against the edges of our everyday activities.  Come early for the pre-show tea party.

This program is presented as part of an ongoing collaboration between the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and the Chicago Park District. Arts programming in neighborhoods across the city advances the goals of the Chicago Cultural Plan and the Night Out in the Parks initiative.
