Parents can visit Chicago Park District website to register for camps today

Winter break camps at Chicago Parks across the city are now open for registration.

Parents wishing to enroll their child or children can visit to register. The camp time and days will vary depending on the park, although most do last about six hours a day. Unless otherwise stated camps are for children ages 6-12 and include sports, arts and crafts and other fun recreational activities.

“Much like the summer, kids need a safe place in their neighborhoods to socialize, stay active and learn during their time off from school. Our winter camps are a good option for families who won’t be traveling this winter or cannot take time off,” said Park District General Superintendent and CEO Michael Kelly.

Along with open registration for winter break camps, the Chicago Park District recently opened registration for winter break programs. Parents can register their children and themselves for winter programs that start the week of January 9, 2017. Programs include teen clubs, team sports, fitness classes, arts and crafts, acting and much more. To view programs and register, please visit the Chicago Park District website
