Reminder: Park district facilities closed for mandatory shut down days as part of 2011 budget

12/22/2011

As a reminder, the Chicago Park District administrative offices and facilities will be closed for two days adjacent to the holidays. The mandatory shut down days are effective:

- Friday, Dec. 23

- Friday, Dec. 30

“The Chicago Park District, like countless other local organizations, is faced with challenges resulting from difficult financial times,” said General Superintendent and CEO Michael Kelly. “These mandatory shut down days is one of the many measures we took to help balance the 2011 budget.”

Patrons should contact their local park for hours of operation around the holidays, or visit www.chicagoparkdistrict.com.
