Annual Winter Flower Shows at the Chicago Park District's Conservatories Return in Time for Thanksgiving Holiday

Embrace the celebratory and joyful feelings of the holiday season at one or both winter flowers shows

CHICAGO – ‘Tis the season! The 2025 winter flower shows will return to the Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park Ave. and the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Dr. on Wednesday, November 26 in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Both shows will close on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

This year, both conservatories are leaning into the holiday season. As the weather gets colder each flower show provides a cozy and festive atmosphere for both residents and visitors from all over to enjoy.

The Garfield Park Conservatory will present, “Merry & Bright” a winter flower show that evokes the festivity of the season. The indoor showhouse will have a cheerful selection of poinsettias including ‘Viking Cinnamon’, ‘Lemon Glow’, ‘Chorus Hot Pink and ‘Candy Wintergreen’. Visitors can also enjoy fan favorites such as the colored coleus, flowering lantana and the red begonia along with freshly cut Frasier fir trees adorned with multi-colored LED lights.

The Lincoln Park Conservatory turns cozy with its “Fireside” Winter Flower Show. Visitors can feel relaxed in front of a centerpiece brick fireplace. The show will also feature a variety of poinsettias such as ‘Golden Glo’, ‘Norwin Orange’ and ‘Christmas Magic Red’ – the colors of a comforting fire. The scent of fresh cut fir trees will be a soothing scent as amber lighting creates a soft glow throughout the space.

Even in the coldest months, there’s extraordinary natural beauty to be discovered.”
