Online registration begins August 8 and August 9.

The Chicago Park District is launching online registration for 2022 Fall Programs. Most programs begin the week of September 12 and run through December 11, 2022. In conjunction with Chicago Public Schools’ return for the fall, our Park Kids afterschool program will begin on August 22, at most park locations. Participants will engage in activities including arts and crafts, homework time, sports, wellness and nature activities.

“We had a great summer in the parks, and while it’s not over yet, we are so excited for our fall session to begin,” said Chicago Park District General Superintendent and CEO Rosa Escareño. “I encourage our youth, teens, adults, and seniors to explore their parks this fall and try out a new program. We offer Pickleball, Play School, Woodcraft, Archery, Adaptive Sports, Tai Chi, and so much more. There is definitely something for all ages and interests!”

Fees for programs vary depending on location, offerings and hours. We maintain our commitment to put children first and not turn away anyone for inability to pay. Financial assistance is available. Given the popularity of programs, patrons are encouraged to browse through the list of available park programs, which are now available to view, and create a wish list before the start of registration.

Fall online registration at www.ChicagoParkDistrict.com is as follows:

•    Parks located WEST of California Ave. and all our virtual programs will begin registration Monday, August 8 at 9 a.m.
•    Parks located EAST of California Ave. will begin registration Tuesday, August 9 at 9 a.m.
•    Gymnastics centers will begin registration Tuesday, August 9 at noon

Dependent on the number of program spots remaining, in-person registration will begin Saturday, August 13, at most park locations.

Online registration for park programs at McFetridge Sports Center, Morgan Park Sports Center, Addams Park, and Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field at Gately Park begins on Tuesday, August 16, followed by in-person registration on Saturday, August 20. Programs at these facilities run from the week of September 6 through October 30 (Fall Session 1).

In addition to in-person summer programs, the Park District will continue to offer virtual programs for the public to enjoy from home. These programs include arts and crafts, games, and fitness programs. This fall, we will be offering online American Sign Language, Yoga, Ceramics, Pre-Teen Club, Film Club, Bingo, and more! The Chicago Park District also offers 200+ on-demand virtual experiences on our YouTube channel.
