Lulu began participating in gymnastics in the parks since 2016 and will now continue to compete at the collegiate level
Chicago Park District Gymnast Lulu Ton-That signed a letter of intent at Peterson Gymnastics Center, 5801 N. Pulaski Rd., on Wednesday, November 13 to join the Brown University Gymnastics Team. After competing at the Chicago Park District Gymnastics Program to the highest levels, Lulu Ton-That will be continuing her participation in the sport when she joins the Brown University Team upon her high school graduation. The signing of the letter of intent took place at the Peterson Park Gymnastic Center, the gymnastics center where she has competed for the park since 2016.
Lulu has participated in gymnastics at the Chicago Park District since 2016 and began climbing the ranks steadily, placing top ten at the state level, and being invited to participate on the national stage. Lulu joins other notable Park District athletes to take the next steps in their journey, such as Olympians Shamier Little (track and field) and David Diaz (boxing). Along with being a sensational athlete in gymnastics, cross country, and track & field, Lulu is also at the top of her class at North Side College Prep. She serves as an inspiration to the other 9,500 athletes enrolled in the gymnastics program that has accumulated 23 state championships, 5 regional championships, a level 10 Girls National Qualifier, and a National Champion on the Rings.
