Chicago Park District Hosting Free Weekly Wellness Wednesdays at Three Local Parks

Patrons encouraged to fall into fitness with a variety of exercise classes

The Chicago Park District is kicking off its Wellness Wednesday Pop-Up Series, offering residents 18 years or older a chance to stay active as the summer ends. Each class is open to patrons of all fitness levels. The Wellness Wednesday Pop-Up Series is a free, weekly wellness opportunity featuring classes in Pilates, Circuit Training and Yoga. Participating partners include:

  • Pilates from Rise Pilates
  • Circuit Training from Public Health Fitness Solutions
  • Yoga from Zen Yoga Garage

The classes will be held every Wednesday in September from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Classes are taking place at three park locations around the city:

  • Clarendon Park, 4501 N. Clarendon Ave.
  • Ping Tom Park, 1700 S. Wentworth Ave.
  • Ridge Park, 1817 W. 96th St.

All classes are free and open to all fitness levels. Participants can see the full class schedule and register online here.

If you enjoy these classes, the public is also encouraged to register for a fall session fitness class or visit one of our 70+ fitness centers located in parks citywide. For more information or to find a class and fitness facility near you, visit www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/wellness-programs.
