The Chicago Park District is honored to host the 12th Annual Valor Games Midwest August 13-15, 2024.

Valor Games Midwest is a free three-day Paralympic sport competition for veterans and service members with physical, visual, and invisible disabilities. The event celebrates our athletes by encouraging healthy competition and strengthening their sense of community through sports. This event also offers a resource fair which is dedicated to providing all participants and their families with community support.

 
WHERE:       

Tuesday, August 13 at Soldier Field, 1410 Museum Campus Dr.

9 am-12 pm: Rowing Competition
11 am-2 pm: Resource Fair
1 pm-4 pm: Field Events Competition (Shot Put or Discus Throw)
 

Wednesday, August 14 at Lincoln Park

9 am- 1:30 pm: Archery, Lincoln Park Archery Range (2 W. Belmont Harbor Dr.)
1 pm- 3:30 pm: Cycling, Wilson lot just north of the Wilson track (4400 N. Lake Shore Drive)
 

Thursday, August 15 at McKinley Park, 2210 W. Pershing Rd.

9 am- 11:30 am: Table Tennis
9 am- 11:30 am: Biathlon
12:30 pm- 3:30 pm: Powerlifting Competition
 

This event does not require previous experience and all who qualify with the below requirements may participate:

  • Participants must have served or are currently serving in the US Armed Forces.

 Disabilities Include:

  • PTS/D
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Burns
  • Hearing Loss
