Registration is open and slots are still available citywide; most camps start the week of December 23 and run through January 3

School is out, and the fun is in the parks! The Chicago Park District is offering Winter Break Camp opportunities for children ages 6 to 14 years old this holiday season. Nearly 30 park locations still have registration spots open with most camps running from December 23, 2024 to January 3, 2025. Each camp gives Chicago kids the opportunity to stay active and engaged during the break.

“We know that parents are looking for safe and inclusive spaces to send their kids while schools are on winter break, and what better place to send them than their local park,” said Chicago Park District Superintendent and CEO Rosa Escareño. “With our Winter Break camps, kids are able to stay engaged and connected with their peers, while they enjoy their time off from school.”

Registration prices and vacancies vary across each park location. Parents are invited to register at www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/winter-break-camps.

Spots are filling up fast as the start date approaches; there are still spots open at 26 parks including Hale Park (South Region), Sheridan Park (Central Region) and Simons Park (North Region).

In addition to Winter Break camps, winter programming begins the week of January 6, 2025 and culminates the week of March 16, 2025. The Chicago Park District serves all ages, abilities and interests. Whether patrons are interested in aquatic exercise, adult pickleball or arts and crafts, the Chicago Park District’s winter programming gives residents a chance to stay active and energetic.
