Chicago Park District Keeps Everyone Active This Winter With Camps, Events and Programs

The Chicago Park District is offering winter break camps, holiday events, and winter programming this season. These offerings are open to all Chicagoans. Winter break camps offer short programs with a wide range of options to choose from to stay active. Holiday events are free or low-cost one-off activities that offer fun for everyone. Winter programs are multiple months long and can range from artistic to athletic, ensuring the park provides all patrons with the opportunity to try something new or enjoy a familiar hobby with others. Many Winter Break Camps start the week of December 22 and run through January 2 at nearly 60 parks citywide. Holiday Events run through all of December. More than 20 events happening from December 15 through the end of the year. Most winter programming runs from January 5 to March 15, 2026.

Even as temperatures drop, the Park District remains a leader of providing recreational opportunities to everyone in the city. The options being offered throughout the colder months serve as a way to keep Chicagoans active and connected.
