The Washington Park and South Shore natural areas have a little more sparkle this summer following the installation of two butterfly sculptures by local artists Kahari Blackburn and Candace Hunter.
The sculptures were installed this past April as part of “Flight of the Butterflies,” a project of the Chicago Park District and Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum that placed the larger than life insects in 16 natural areas around the city.
