Popular attraction in the heart of Chicago will celebrate its 10th Anniversary this year

CHICAGO – Maggie Daley Park announced the 2024-2025 Ice Skating Ribbon season will run from Friday, November 15, 2024, through Sunday, March 9, 2025. The Skating Ribbon serves as a curving rink, extending one-quarter mile with a capacity of over 700 skaters and is part of Maggie Daley Park’s annual winter activations. Equipped with skate rentals, lockers and children’s skate aids, the Ribbon blends the city with nature to display one-of-a-kind views skaters can enjoy. Reservation times will open Monday, November 4, at noon and can be made at www.maggiedaleypark.com.
“We are thrilled to announce the season opening of the Maggie Daley Ice Skating Ribbon and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the park,” said Chicago Park District General Superintendent and CEO Rosa Escareño. “For the past decade, the ribbon has become a winter tradition for local families and tourists alike, providing active recreation and stunning views of the city skyline. We look forward to park visitors joining the celebration and making this an epic milestone year for this epic park.”
The Ice Skating Ribbon is open every day with four available time slots:
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• 2 to 4 p.m.
• 5 to 7 p.m.
• 8 to 10 p.m.
The Ice-Skating Ribbon, sponsored by Hyatt Hotels for the 2024-2025 season, offers guests the option to reserve a time slot and rent skates at maggiedaleypark.com. "Bring Your Own Skate" sessions are available for free during weekday and certain weekend sessions outside of the Holiday Season. Rental prices start at $17 when purchased online and $19 for walk-up. Additionally, the Holiday Season runs from Friday, December 13, through Sunday, January 5, with skate rentals priced at $21 online and $23 for walk-up. Online reservations are recommended. Penguin and snowman skate aids are available for rent at $11 per session. Food and beverages are offered at the nearby Rink Café, featuring a special winter menu with the fan-favorite hot chocolate.
