One week left to celebrate the holidays with "Merry & Bright" and "Fireside"
The winter flower shows at Lincoln Park and Garfield Park Conservatory will close on Tuesday, January 4. As Chicago fully moves into the winter season, this is the last chance for patrons to visit both shows: “Merry & Bright” at Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park Ave. and “Fireside” at Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Dr.
Both flower shows opened right before the Thanksgiving holiday on November 26, and ushered in a cozy and festive atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Over the last month visitors have enjoyed looking at and guessing the different type of poinsettias at each show, including the ‘Viking Cinnamon’, “Christmas Magic Red’ and ‘Lemon Glow’ poinsettias, to name a few!
“The winter flower shows are a celebration of color during the city’s coldest months,” said Chicago Park District Superintendent and CEO Carlos Ramirez-Rosa. “We invite everyone to escape the cold and enjoy the beautiful displays our teams at the Garfield Park and Lincoln Park Conservatories have worked so hard to create before the shows end.”
Pre-registration is required for both shows. For more information, visit chicagoparkdistrict.com/conservatory-flower-shows.
