The Chicago Park District is excited to host the 10th Annual Valor Games Midwest from August 16-18, 2022.

The 2022 Valor Games brings together disabled or wounded veterans and ill or injured service members to engage them in three days of Paralympic sport competition. Athletes can compete in discus, shot put, archery, powerlifting, indoor rowing, biathlon, or table tennis, and will have the opportunity to take part in a cycling experience along the Chicago Lakefront Trail. 

The 2022 events will take place in various Chicago Park District locations.

As a part of Valor Games Midwest, the Chicago Park District will host a Resource Fair at Soldier Field (Gate O, inside Concourse) on Tuesday, August 16 from 11 a.m-1 p.m. Veterans, active duty, and military family members are invited to connect with agencies and organizations that provide military specific assistance. These vendors will provide information including education, employment, housing, legal, disabilities, mental health, and family services. 

Applications for 2022 Valor Games Midwest are accepted from those who have served or are currently serving in the US Armed Forces. All eligible athletes are encouraged to apply, however, priority for this year’s event will be given to athletes that live in the Midwest region of the United States (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin). All applications must be completed by midnight of July 15, 2022. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status on or before July 22, 2022.
