The following remain closed: all playgrounds, all pools and most areas & facilities east of Lake Shore Drive except for the Lakefront Trail, harbors, golf courses and many concessions. Beaches are closed for the season. Water fountains remain off. The Lakefront Trail and The 606 are open, users must keep it moving. The Chicago Park District commemorates Black History Month this February with various events throughout the city. From the annual Umoja event to an art exhibit, culture jam, and a variety of other events, there are a number of opportunities to celebrate this special month in the parks.
