Chicago Onscreen

The Chicago Onscreen Local Film Showcase brings local films to local parks as part of the Chicago Park District’s Movies in the Parks program. Filmmakers of all ages and skill levels are invited to submit their Chicago-focused work for consideration. Through a rigorous evaluation process, a selection team comprised of Chicago Park District programming staff and members of Chicago’s film community choose a final roster of films to feature each August. Selected films are shown, for free, in outdoor screenings, and placed, as often as possible, in the neighborhoods that inspired them.
