Description

We are celebrating a Day of Racial Healing for families at Seward Park, and have an exciting evening planned!
Itinerary as follows:

  • 4:30 pm - Light refreshments will be served while you create a vision board for yourself or your family to help you reach goals and set positive intentions for the new year!
  • 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm - Starr Chief Eagle will lead a workshop to learn about her Native American culture. This will include beading, hoop dance and a medicine wheel hand out.
  • 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm - We will also be offering a workshop on community food navigation and a healing circle with Urban Growers Collective.
  • 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm - We will end the day watching Cabrini Art House Documentary - 70 Acres in Chicago and engage in a dialog about the film and community connection.


This is free and open to the public. Space is limited to 100.
