Description
Please join us for a Day of Racial Healing on Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Day! This free retreat is for teens age 13 to 18 years old.
This event is structured as a retreat, so we ask that if you attend, you stay to participate from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Itinerary as follows:
- 11:00 am to 12:30 am - Ice Skating and First Walk of the Year: participants will be able to choose from either an herbalism workshop or vision boarding workshop.
- 12:30 pm - A light lunch will be available for participants, including a sandwich wrap and fruit. There will also be a cocoa and tea bar
- 1:15 pm to 3:00 pm - Xochiquetzal will be performing Danza Aztecza. Then Peace and Education Coalition Back of the Yards and New City will facilitate our dialog on Racial Healing.
