Emily Kuhn Quintet at Jefferson

Emily Kuhn’s quintet features stalwart Chicago improvisers: Kuhn - trumpet/flugelhorn, Meghan Stagl - piano/voice, Erik Skov - guitar, Kitt Lyles - bass, Gustavo Cortiñas - drums. Since releasing their debut album, “Ghosts of Us” (2023), they’ve performed at prestigious venues including Champaign Urbana Jazz Festival, Stanford Jazz Festival, Hey Nonny’s Women’s Jazz Festival, and Festival of New Trumpet Music. They’re celebrating the release of their new album “Feathered Things,” an exploration of hope and resilience through images of snow, fire, and flight.
