Presented as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival Neighborhood Initiative and Chicago In Tune, a new citywide festival celebrating music in the key of Chicago.
Amina Claudine Myers, The Young Masters, The Detroit Tenors: Salim Washington and Wendell Harrison, Guitar Summit featuring George Freeman, Fareed Haque, Curtis Robinson Jr. and Larry Brown, Live the Spirit Residency Large Ensemble and others to be announced.
The Englewood Jazz Festival is presented in partnership with Live The Spirit Residency. The Festival is supported by The MacArthur Fund for the Arts and Culture, The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, the Cohn Family foundation, the Oppenheimer Family Foundation, The Chicago Park District, 6th Ward Alderman Roderick T. Sawyer, the Old Town School of Folk Music, Dawk Publishing, WDCB, Delmark Records, and Chicago Creative Arts Online. This is partially supported by the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
This concert will take place in the picnic grove East of the field house near the playground. In the event of rain the event will move indoors to the Auditorium.
In accordance with Be Safe Chicago Guidelines for Parks and Recreation Activities, participants in this activity will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all times while participating.
