Curated by Tiffany M. Johnson under the Anchor Curatorial Residency program, Finding Ceremony will highlight artists from across the city with an emphasis on West side cultural production, through an art exhibition, performances, and cultural events at Austin Town Hall in September and October of 2022. Finding Ceremony will take place on and around the Anchor stage, a mobile outdoor exhibition and performance venue currently "anchored" out front of Austin Town Hall on Lake Street. Exhibition on view during fieldhouse open hours.

A site of refuge and grounding, this inaugural iteration of the Anchor Curatorial Residency investigates present-day geographies of collective anchoring; we invite the local community to explore ways of finding our footing, recharting and reclaiming Black and Brown relations to public spaces and each other.
Confirmed artists include Janelle Ayana Miller, Kenya Cree, Eseosa Edebiri, Tavia David, Cai Thomas, Antonia “Toni” Ruppert, JaMaa, Alexy Irving, Edna M. Togba, and collaborators Jade Williams and Cristable Reynosa-Martinez of
. Finding Ceremony is also proudly designed in collaboration with community stewards Dushaun Branch, Jasmin Graham, Dianna C. Long, and Emone Moore.
